“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,* and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
- Matthew 11:28-30
The purpose of the OLL Bereavement Support Group is to provide an opportunity for those experiencing the loss of a loved one to share with others in a similar situation. Through a directed exchange individuals can receive comfort and understanding in dealing with their grief. Any one sharing in this group is free to share their thoughts and experiences in confidence and trust. Each person is to be respected and trusted with the information they both share or hear while in the group.
The mission of the group is to nurture healing and Christian values during a journey of emotional pain and suffering. The meetings offer discussions which challenge the role of “Faith” in the healing process. Individuals of any faith tradition are invited to participate in these spirited and heartfelt discussions. Any person that chooses to participate in the group is free to skip any given session without fear of losing a place at future meetings.
Anyone who would like to be part of our Bereavement Support Group, please feel free to call the Parish Office at 401-434-3535
